Great hospitality, keeping cool in a heatwave

What a lovely gite you had for us and how welcoming you were. It was perfect for hot weather as it is built into the side of a hill and kept cool downstairs during a heatwave. The pool, with its clever solar powered shower, also kept us cool, as I swam every day. We ate on our private terrace, and found the kitchen well supplied for our needs, there was even a British News channel as well as international stations. We could walk to the bakers and the local market, drive to two supermarkets and there were many interesting places to visit, like the Japanese garden, the Marais Poitevin, the art gallery at Angers, and the Castle at Niort. I would heartily recommend this place, it is not too far from St Malo or Caen for ferries, and our hosts were very hospitable.

Niché au pied de remparts, le gîte des 3 Pommes offre un écrin de verdure aux vacanciers en quête d'une pause. Profitez d'un parc de 5000 m² avec des arbres centenaires. La ville vous manque, ouvrez le portillon et arpentez les petites rues, visitez le marché et profitez des petits commerces. Puy du Fou à 20 min, Futuroscope 1h1/2, le festival de Poupet à 10 min (juillet), les machines de Nantes 1h, les châteaux de la Loire 1h.
